HELPING DOG PROFESSIONALS
WORK... PLAY... & GROW
IN THIS INDUSTRY!
BEHIND THE MINDSET THERE IS A METHOD.
WORK... PLAY... & GROW.
IT"S A CHALLENGE TO DEVELOP THE RIGHT MINDSET...
TO FOCUS ON THE DOGS...
TO WORK ON OURSELVES...
TO LEVEL UP OUR OWN BEHAVIOR...
FIND MEANING IN OUR WORK...
DEVELOP OUR STRENGTHS...
GET AWAY FROM THE TOXICITY...
& TRULY PROFESSIONALIZE THIS INDUSTRY.
Somewhere in the never-ending drive to push forward training dogs and crushing goals... we often leave part of ourselves behind.
Trainers start to see the dogs and clients as just ongoing problems to solve and things to ridicule.
The industry is suffering with trainers burning out, becoming angry and then leaving after only a few years or worse,
they stay and suffer while their businesses, relationships and health deteriorate.
Long term success in anything is about building a foundation,
developing attributes in a number of areas,
seeing the dogs, the clients and ourselves differently
and in the process finding success both short term and long term.
IF ANY OF THIS SPEAKS TO YOU & YOU ARE STUCK I HOPE THIS HELPS.CHECK OUT THE PROGRAM or read more below...
CATCH ME AT THE BELOW UPCOMING EVENTS
I'll be conducting a 3 Day Professional Development Course for a private client's business. Currently this is a closed course.
I'll be a vendor at the IACP Annual Conference in Minneapolis, MN. Stop by and let's talk!
I'll be presenting at the 2nd Annual L.E.G.S. in Motion Conference on helping every dog become a "working dog"!
I’m a professional dog trainer and coach, positive psychology nerd, former paratrooper, ex-cop, University grad and former Fortune 500 Corporate lab rat.
That wild ride has allowed me to come to learn a few things about coaching to include mindset development, motivation and learning, performing to a standard and facing challenges...
and unfortunately I learned some of them the hard way.
I've been helping my fellow colleagues for over 3 decades in multiple career roles... from the military, to law enforcement, to a Fortune 500 company and finally as a Canine Professional mentoring others, serving as a committee chair and overseeing multiple committees while a member of the Board of Directors for the International Association of Canine Professionals... now I'm focusing on the Pro Dog Trainer Mindset.
I hope this project helps my colleagues become better dog trainers and humans and work to be more present for the little things we encounter daily.
"I am so much more confident than when I started. I am also more open minded than when I started. Thank you for your encouragement, for your teaching and for all of your conversations."
"When I reached out to John, I took a leap of faith to further my education and career. He taught me how to apply methods to change them and get results. I know if there is ever a day I get stuck; John is just a phone call away to consult."
